Donald Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County, announced that “due to the continued growth and success of our Bank, we are expanding our Commercial Lending team by adding a Vice President of Commercial Lending and Business Development specifically focused on the Capital Region.”
John Wyatt has joined the Bank team, and brings over 20 years of experience in the Banking Industry. Don Gibson stated “we are extremely pleased to add someone with John’s banking and local market knowledge. John served as a VP and Commercial Lender in the Capital Region for many years, and most recently owned his own consulting firm. John helped many local businesses navigate the pandemic, and we feel his dedication to the community and commitment to customer service will be a great fit with our culture.”
Perry Lasher, Executive Vice President, Business and Retail Chief Lending Officer stated “we are thrilled that John is joining the Bank of Greene County Team. His talent and years of experience in the Capital Region will help us continue our growth in that market.” John Wyatt stated “I am very excited for the opportunity to join the team and help the Bank continue their growth in the capital region.”
John holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from St. Lawrence University, where he was also a member of the baseball team. John is a former committee member for the Regional Food Bank, and previously held Board positions on the Saratoga County Community Resource Corporation and the Burn Hills Community Pop Warner, Little League, Basketball, and Softball programs. He lives in Glenville.
