Kinderhook, New York – The Bank of Greene County today announced that it will open a new branch office to be located at 2827 Route 9, adjacent to Ocean State Job Lot and CMH Rapid Care Center in Valatie, NY.
According to Bank President and CEO, Donald Gibson, “This is a very exciting announcement as this will be our Bank’s sixth branch located in Columbia County. We are opening the new branch due to overwhelming customer demand, in Columbia County. While we have had a significant presence for many years in Columbia County, this will be our first branch in Kinderhook-Valatie market.
The Bank of Greene County has been serving local communities for over 130 years. In all that time, we’ve never said farewell to customers due to a merger or consolidation. And we never will, because we set the bank up with a unique ownership structure that ensures our independence. Being local, and staying local is important to us. We are here to stay!”
While the Bank has not set a definite date for a branch opening, it is our intention to immediately proceed with the design and renovations. We have targeted the fourth quarter of 2019 for the grand opening. We plan to staff the office with a combination of experienced Bank staff and will be accepting applications from potential new employees, hopefully from the Kinderhook-Valatie area.
The new branch is a full service office, approximately 2,000 square feet, will feature a cyber-café, a 24 hour ATM, safe deposit boxes, and has ample parking.
We are the only locally based Bank with offices in Columbia, Greene, Albany and Ulster Counties.
Headquartered in Catskill, New York, the Bank of Greene County has proudly served the Hudson Valley for over 130 years.
