Donald E. Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation, announced a grant from the Bank’s Charitable Foundation to People’s Place, a non-profit organization serving Ulster County, and a matching grant from the Association of Military Banks of America (AMBA).
Donald Gibson stated: “The Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation is proud to support local non-profit organizations in our community. This year, we are giving away $421,000 to local non-profit organizations in the communities we serve. We are extremely thankful to the AMBA for their matching donation to People’s Place, and overall dedication to our community.”
People’s Place is a not-for-profit organization that provides food, clothing, and other assistance to anyone living in Ulster County, especially the unemployed, the physically and mentally challenged, working poor, youth, and the elderly. The organization currently operates a Thrift Store, Food Pantry, Wellness Empowerment Center and Community Cafe’ in the City of Kingston, NY serving all of Ulster County.
