Donald E. Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County, announced an employee promotion to Bank Officer. Joseph Rothrock has been promoted to a newly created position of Fire and EMS Financing Officer.
Donald Gibson stated: “Due to the continued growth and success of our Bank’s Fire and EMS services, it is my pleasure to announce we have promoted Joseph Rothrock to the newly created position of Fire and EMS Financing Officer. The Bank is dedicated to supporting first responders, and Joe has done a great job assisting local and regional organizations with their financing needs.”
Joseph Rothrock began his career at the Bank of Greene County in 2011. He completed the Bank’s Management Training Program, and has held many positions of increasing responsibility. Joe’s most recent position was Fire & EMS Financing Specialist. Joe recently completed the Graduate School of Banking Program in Madison, WI, where he also received an Executive Leadership Certificate from the Wisconsin School of Business. Joe holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration as well as a certificate in Organizational Leadership and Change Management from the College of St. Rose in Albany, NY, and a Bachelors of Arts in Economics from St. Lawrence University. Joe is an active member in our local community and serves as a volunteer firefighter and Treasurer for the Palenville Fire Department. Joe also services as Vice President of the Village of Catskill Local Development Corporation. Joe lives in Catskill with his wife Meghan and two children.
