Bank Announces Promotions

Donald Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County, announces employee promotions across the Bank. Donald Gibson stated: “Due to the continued growth and success of the Bank, it is my pleasure to announce we have promoted several dedicated employees to positions of increased responsibility.  It is particularly rewarding when all of the employees promoted are from within our company, and have grown with us over the years.”

Timothy Bartholomew has been promoted to Vice President, Director of Investment Services. Tim has been with the Bank for almost 15 years and an investment professional for 23 years.  He is fully licensed to handle stock and bond trades, mutual funds, annuity and life insurance products, and many other investment services.  Tim holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Dayton, and is a graduate of Christian Brothers Academy in Albany.  He is on the executive board for the Early Childhood Education Center located in Albany, Troy and Schenectady Counties, and also serves as the head of the Finance Committee for Albany County Historical Association.  He lives in Delmar (Albany County).

Andrea DiPace has been promoted to Vice President & Branch Administrator. Andrea has been with the Bank for over 7 years, and has 20 years of banking experience.  As Branch Administrator, Andrea oversees the entire Bank of Greene County branch network.  Andrea is actively involved in the community, and is a member of the Germantown Student Education Foundation, Friends of New Baltimore Recreation, and board member of Palatine Manor, Greene County Rural Health Network, and the Germantown Garden Club.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Empire State College and is a long-time resident of Clermont (Columbia County).

Allen Austin IV has been promoted to AVP, Director of Corporate Cash Management & Administrative Officer. Allen has been with the Bank for over 5 years, and has led the Bank’s Corporate Cash Management program for over a year.  Allen is a graduate of Babson College in Boston, MA with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.  He earned his Master’s degree and an Executive Certificate in Leadership from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017.  Allen is a graduate of Catskill High School, and was honored by the New York State Assembly as the 2009 Greene County Citizen of the Year.  He is very involved in the local community, and is a board member of the Greene County Economic Development Corporation and Catskill Educational Foundation.  He resides in Earlton (Greene County).

Jennifer Beers has been promoted to AVP, Loan Servicing. Jennifer has been with the Bank over 17 years, and has held positions of increasing responsibility in both the branch network and Lending.  Jennifer holds an Associate’s degree in Business Administration from Columbia-Greene Community College and is a graduate from Coxsackie-Athens High School.  She lives in Surprise (Greene County).

Christa Bush has been promoted to Regional Branch Officer. In addition to her Branch Manager responsibilities at the Cairo Branch, Christa has Regional responsibilities for the Greenville, Coxsackie, Ravena-Coeymans, and Westerlo Branch offices.  Christa has been with the Bank over 7 years, has 24 years of banking experience, and is very involved in the community.  She is a member of the Fortnightly Club of Catskill, serves as Chairperson for The Festival of Trees, and lives in Catskill (Greene-County).

Amy Conte has been promoted to Regional Branch Officer. In addition to her responsibilities at the Greenport Branch, Amy oversees the Hudson, Chatham, Germantown, Copake, and Kinderhook-Valatie Branches.  Amy has been with the Bank for over 13 years, and has over 27 years of banking experience.  She is very active with the Trinity United Methodist Church, and lives in Greenport (Columbia County).

Jonathan Halligan has been promoted to Municipal Banking Officer. Jon has been with the Bank for over 5 years, starting as an Intern and working through the Bank’s Management Trainee Program.  Jon has an MBA from the College of St. Rose, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from SUNY Oneonta.  He is a graduate of the Columbia-Greene Leadership program and a graduate of Cairo-Durham High School.  Jon is the Treasurer/Secretary of the Columbia Greene Umpires Association and officiates community basketball.  He lives in Saugerties (Ulster County).

Ashley Scott has been promoted to Loan Servicing Supervisor. Ashley has been with the Bank for 6 years, and has held positions of increased responsibility in Lending.  She has an Associate’s degree in Science from Ulster Community College and is a graduate of Saugerties High School.  She lives in Catskill (Greene County).

Karishma Vermani has been promoted to Woodstock Branch Manager. Karishma has held positions of increased responsibility within the branch network and has been with the Bank for 4 years.  She is currently participating in the Ulster County Leadership program and has her Associate’s degree in Business from Ulster County Community College.  Karishma graduated from Saugerties High School and is a Saugerties resident (Ulster County).

Timothy Braunfeld has been promoted to Floating Assistant Branch Manager. Tim joined the Bank as part of the Woodstock Branch team, and transitioned to the Retail Management Training program.  Tim has a Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Oneonta, and lives in Woodstock (Ulster County).
