WOODSTOCK – The Bank of Greene County presents a donation to its new Woodstock neighbor, the Woodstock Playhouse. The Bank is always happy to support local organizations, and this donation was unique since the funds were raised by Bank employees. For the Bank’s Woodstock Branch Grand Opening, all employees wore matching tie-dye shirts. These shirts were very popular, and employees requested additional quantities for themselves, as well as friends and family. As a way of giving back and supporting the Bank’s new community, employees made donations for the additional shirts, with the proceeds being donated to the Woodstock Playhouse.
Don Gibson, Bank President and CEO said “We knew the shirts were going to be popular, but we had no idea how well they’d be received, by the community and employees. Woodstock is ‘cool’, and we wanted something to set us apart. When employees started asking for extra shirts for their friends and family, it seemed like a good idea to ask for a donation, and donate the proceeds back to the Woodstock community. The Woodstock Playhouse was a perfect fit, because they were so welcoming, and are right next door.”
The Bank of Greene County opened its Woodstock Branch on Saturday, September 22, and is offering numerous grand opening specials, including a $225 bonus for opening an acount!
