Bank Holds Ribbon Cutting for New State-of-the Art Technology Customer Service Center

CATSKILL, NEW YORK – The Bank of Greene County President & CEO, Donald Gibson, announced today the Bank has opened a new-state-of-the-art-technology Customer Service Center located at 491 Main Street in Catskill.

Don Gibson stated; “I am honored to announce another major investment in both our Bank and our local community. Currently, the Bank occupies four historic office buildings located on Main Street in Catskill – the Administrative Center at 302 Main Street, Lending Center at 341 Main Street, Operations Center at 288 Main Street, and the Bank’s Main Office and Investment Center at 425 Main Street.

Due to the continued growth and success of the Bank, we have created over 20 new positions over the last 18 months, and determined we needed additional long term office space.

Therefore, we purchased 491 Main Street and the adjacent parking lot at 489 Main Street. We then completely renovated the building, with a state-of-the-art-technology to provide our customers with world class service.

The restoration of 491 Main Street extends the bank’s investment in Catskill to the upper part of the Village’s main thoroughfare.”

The Bank is expected to immediately move approximately a dozen employees into the new facility, and over the next few years the building is designed to accommodate over two dozen employees.

Headquartered in Catskill, NY, the Bank of Greene County is the only locally based Bank with offices in Greene, Columbia, Albany and Ulster Counties and has proudly served the Hudson Valley and Capital Region for over 130 years.
