The Bank of Greene County now offers an exciting new product called Internet Bill Pay.  With Internet Bill Pay you can manage all of your bills online through our internet banking web site.

Unlike some other bank bill payment web sites, our Internet Bill Pay can pay anyone ... credit cards, utility bills, retail bills, even individuals that aren't businesses.  If a payee is capable of receiving electronic payment from us, we will transfer the funds from your account directly to the payee.  If they are not capable ... we send them a check!  It's that simple.  Either way your bills are paid.

We are also offering electronic Bill Presentment, so you can receive your bills via Internet Banking as well.  Then you can manage them and pay them all in one place.  In all, we offer three distinct forms of bill payment / bill presentment.  You can choose the level that's right for you.

1.   Internet Bill Pay – Internet Bill Pay only - free of monthly service charges for the first ten transactions, $.50 per transaction after that.

2.   Internet Bill Pay Plus -  Internet Bill Pay - plus the additional feature of electronic bill presentment.  Many credit card companies can present their bill to you electronically and with this product, you can indicate the amount to be paid and schedule that payment – without writing a check or opening an envelope.  $5.95 per month plus $.50 per transaction after the first ten free transactions.

3.   Total Bill Management -   Internet Bill Pay Plus - not only pays all your bills but receives ALL your bills as well.  If a payee is not capable of presenting your bills electronically, your bills are mailed directly to Internet Bill Pay, scanned into the system, and presented to you electronically for your approval.  For a fee, TBM customers can receive an annual CD with all of their bills (images) for the year, for recordkeeping purposes.  $12.95 per month with unlimited transactions and no additional fees.

Instructions for Self Enrollment

There are three steps to get started with Bill Pay - Enroll, Select a Funding Account and Setup Payees

  1. Log into our Internet banking site.
  2. Click the Bill Pay tab.
  3. The screen that loads will explain that you have not yet enrolled for our Bill Pay service.  Read the “Online Bill Pay Service Terms & Conditions” and then click Enroll.
  4. You will be required to provide the following information:
    1. Name
    2. Address
    3. Email
    4. Phone Number
    5. Account being used for Bill Pay
  5. After filling in this information, click Submit.
  6. You will receive a message that you have been enrolled for our Bill Pay service.  Click the Pay Bills Now button.
  7. The funding account that you selected to use will be displayed with a yellow dot next to it.  This simply means your account is pending approval.  We are now verifying that your account exists and will be the specific funding account to pay your bills.
  8. You will receive an e-mail notification that your account has been "approved".  The dot will change to green and you can begin using Bill Pay by inputting the information about your payees and your bills!
