COLONIE, NY – The Bank of Greene County is continuing to expand in the Capital Region with the opening of a new Banking Center just off of Wolf Road in Colonie. The Capital Region Banking Center will accommodate up to 10 banking specialists and is set to open this March at 3 Winners Circle, according to Bank officials.
“I’m pleased to announce the expansion of our footprint in the Capital Region, and the opening of our first non-branch office in the Albany market,” said Don Gibson, President and CEO of the bank. “We’ve made tremendous strides in the region on both the commercial and retail sides of our business. The plan is to build on that momentum.”
The Bank opened its first branch in the Capital Region on Wolf Road in 2020, and then added another in East Greenbush in 2023. In addition to the Capital Region, the Bank also has branches in the Hudson Valley.
“The Bank of Greene County is committed to creating jobs in the area, and of course providing exceptional customer service,” said Gibson. “Our new office will feature a team of dedicated Capital Region lenders as well as a Corporate Cash Management specialist.”
Mike Danforth has been named Director of Capital Region Lending and will head up the team at the new Banking Center. Danforth has over 30 years of banking experience working with individuals and businesses. His specialties include commercial real estate, healthcare and nonprofit organizations. “I’m proud and excited to lead the team that will open the Bank of Greene County’s first business office in the Capital Region,” said Danforth. “I expect our Banking Center will be a great success in a short time. We look forward to working with businesses and individuals in the area.”
Other team members staffing the new center will include Rob Agostinoni, Vice President for Corporate Lending; Joe Szepessy, Business Development Officer; Keith DeMichele, Corporate Cash Management; Vincent Flood, portfolio management services; and Stacey Sawicki, loan originations.
“Customers will have access to a team dedicated to serving the Capital Region “ added Danforth. “In addition to Lenders and Cash Management, they’ll also be able to meet with our Greene Private Bank and Investment Services representatives as needed.”
The newly renovated office space at 3 Winners Circle will feature private offices, a conference room, an upgraded energy-efficient HVAC system, LED lighting, a UV-reflective roof, and solar-powered charging stations for electric and hybrid vehicles.
