Donald E. Gibson, President & CEO of the Bank of Greene County, announced an employee promotion to Bank Officer. Joseph Szepessy has been promoted to Business Development Officer.
Donald Gibson stated: “Due to the continued growth and success of the Bank and our Lending Team, it is my pleasure to announce we have promoted Joseph Szepessy to a Bank Officer. Joe started as a Portfolio Associate, and over the past six years has done a great job in positions of increased responsibility.”
Joe Szepessy has almost 10 years of Banking experience, and has worked at the Bank of Greene County for over 6 years, holding multiple positions of increased responsibility in the Lending Department. Most recently, he was a Portfolio Manager and Business Development Specialist. Joe is a graduate of Coxsackie-Athens High School, and holds a Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York Polytechnic Institute and Master’s degree in Business Administration from the College of Saint Rose. He is currently attending the Graduate School of Banking in Wisconsin with an anticipated graduation date of August 2023, and is very involved in the community. Joe serves on the Finance Committee for Greene Land Trust, and is a serious NY Yankee’s fan. He lives in Athens.
