Donald E. Gibson, President & CEO, announced today that the Board of Directors of Greene County Bancorp, Inc., has appointed Jay Cahalan to serve as Chairman of the Board and Tejraj Hada as a Board Director.
Mr. Cahalan will be succeeding Paul Slutzky, in a planned retirement transition after Mr. Slutzky announced his plans to retire last year. Mr. Slutzky had served on the Board of Directors since 1992, and was named Chairman in 2020.
Mr. Cahalan joined the Bank’s Advisory Board in 2013, and Board of Directors in 2015. Mr. Cahalan is the President & CEO of Columbia-Memorial Health, and has held several executive positions there over the last 20 years. Mr. Cahalan brings formidable business and leadership skills, financial acumen, and many other qualities to the Board of Greene County Bancorp, Inc, and has served as Chairman of the Compensation Committee for several years.

Donald Gibson further stated “I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Tejraj Hada (TJ) to the Bank’s Board of Directors. TJ has brought a unique perspective and great insight to our Advisory Board, and we look forward to his leadership and acumen as a Board Director.”
TJ Hada is the owner of RSVT Holding LLC, a franchisee of Five Guys Burgers and Fries. TJ has been in the restaurant industry for 17 years, and was previously an IT professional with over 10 years of experience. TJ is a Computer Science graduate from Rajasthan Technical University, India, with a Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering from National Productivity Council, India.
