CATSKILL, NEW YORK – Bank President and CEO Donald E. Gibson and Chairman of the Board Jay Cahalan announced the appointment of John Brust to the Greene County Bancorp, Inc. Board of Directors.
Mr. Brust is succeeding David Jenkins, who retired from the Board in November. Mr. Jenkins had served on the Board of Directors for 29 years, and was recently appointed a Director Emeritus.
Donald Gibson stated “We are excited to welcome John to our Board of Directors. John brings decades of leadership experience as the principal and an owner of Delaware Engineering, one of our region’s most respected engineering firms. His thoughtful guidance and deep understanding of our communities have already contributed to the Bank’s long-term success.”
Jay Cahalan added “on behalf of the Bank and its Board, I’d like to join Don in welcoming John to the Board of Directors. We look forward to the skills and business experience John will bring to the Board. I’d also like to thank David Jenkins for his many years of dedicated service to the Bank.”
John Brust is the Principal and an owner of Delaware Engineering, D.P.C, an Albany-based firm engaged in civil and environmental engineering throughout New York State. Mr. Brust joined Delaware Engineering in 1998 and has over 30 years of experience in technical consulting as well as a broad perspective regarding the economy and the environment. Mr. Brust has been a member of The Bank of Greene County Advisory Board since 2019, is a graduate of Seton Hall University, and holds a Master of Environmental Science from Rutgers University.
